Hyundai to develop next-generation digital tachograph for commercial vehicles
South Korea - Hyundai Motor Group (HMG), headquartered in Seoul, has agreed to work with the government to develop and commercialize a next-generation, connected digital tachograph for commercial vehicles.
Hyundai Motor Company and subsidiary, Kia Corporation together have signed a memorandum of understanding with South Korea’s Ministry of Transport and the state-run Korea Transportation Safety Authority, committing to developing a new digital tachograph and introducing it in new commercial vehicles sold locally from 2026.
