Daimler Truck opens spare parts hub in Germany to boost aftermarket efficiency

Spare parts hub in Halberstadt

Germany Daimler Truck AG, headquartered in Leinfelden-Echterdingen, Baden-Württemberg, has officially opened its Global Parts Centre (GPC) in Halberstadt, Saxony-Anhalt, as part of a major investment in its aftermarket operations. Construction began in early 2023, with full operations launching in July 2025. The EUR 500 million facility spans 270,000 m², making it the largest logistics project in the company’s history.

The GPC will centralise global spare parts supply for Mercedes-Benz Trucks, stocking 300,000 items, serving over 3,000 dealers in 170 countries. Partnering with DP World, Daimler aims to reduce delivery times and vehicle downtime. Initial shipments in Europe begin in late 2025, with global rollout in 2026.
