USAPlusAI Inc of Santa Clara, California has announced a further collaboration with the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company of Akron, Ohio to explore the integration of Goodyear’s tyre sensors with Plus’s self-driving technology.

Plus says it will investigate how data from Goodyear’s “intelligent” tyre technology suite, ‘SightLine’, can enhance its ‘SuperDrive’ autonomous system. Goodyear’s SightLine provides users with information on tyre health by continuously monitoring road surface conditions and friction levels between the tyre and the road. The partners believe that this data could optimise self-driving vehicle performance and reduce operating costs for fleets.
