Traton to issue bonds in Australian dollars

Germany / AustraliaTraton SE of Munich, Bavaria, Germany – the parent of brands including MAN, Scania, International, and Volkswagen Caminhões e Ônibus – has launched a new bond programme for the first time in Australia, in an effort to diversify the sources of its finance.

The group has launched a medium term note programme which will be able to issue up to AUD5bn in bonds, equating to approximately EUR2.9bn. These will be addressed to investors not only in Australia but also in New Zealand, Japan, Singapore, and Hong Kong, who are participants in the Australian bond market on the basis of a local debt issuance programme.
