The bus is equipped with the Allison T280 transmission from Allisons' Torqmatic Series* of transmissions.

Allison T 280 transmission is paired with the Ashok Leyland H-series 6-cylinder four-valve 184-kilowatt (246 horsepower) diesel engine, delivered from Allison's manufacturing facility in Oragadam, Chennai, India.

This multi-year investment, said to exceed USD100m, aims to double the current manufacturing footprint.
