Engineering consultancy, Ricardo plc, and hydrogen power technologies manufacturer, AFC Energy plc, have signed a collaboration agreement aimed at identifying new and innovative alternative fuel solutions.

Ricardo Performance Products is to support the first phase of commercial industrialisation of the SuperTurbo system – a unique planetary traction drive developed by SuperTurbo Technologies Inc enabling high speed power transfer to and from a turbocharger shaft, which the partners states offers significant driveability and fuel efficiency benefits for large trucks.
