Traton reports significant 30% growth in sales revenue, buoyed by Navistar, in Q1 2022

GermanyTraton SE, one of world’s largest builders of trucks and buses as a parent of several truck and bus manufacturers based in Munich, Bavaria, released its results for the first quarter of 2022, recording a considerable revenue growth of 30% from EUR6.5bn to EUR8.5bn. 

The group’s adjusted operating result dropped, however, from EUR516m to EUR402m, providing a return on sales of 4.7% (compared with 7.9% in the same period of the previous year). Overall unit sales were 67,767, a 12% improvement on 60,315 the year before, while incoming orders stand at 95,594, a 17% increase on 2021 (81,742 units).
