France’s Gaussin begins deliveries of terminal e-tractors to Amazon in the USA

USA / France – Zero-emission vehicle sales company, Gaussin North America Inc* (Gaussin NA), based in New York City (a subsidiary of French electric commercial vehicle manufacturer, Gaussin SA, based in Héricourt, France) has started deliveries of its ATM 28T Full Elec electric yard tractors to Amazon, in the United States. The order comprises 329 vehicles with delivery staggered throughout the remainder of the year.
The vehicles are produced at Gaussin’s manufacturing facility in Saint-Vallier, France, which was recently expanded to cope with rising electric yard tractor demand from North America. Such a large order is a major milestone for the company and will allow the firm to grow considerably. The company said it is considering building a manufacturing facility in the USA within the next couple of years with final decisions expected to be made in 2024.
