Chile - The economic contraction in Chile went beyond the negative forecasts predicted by the Monthly Economic Activity Indicator in a more pronounced way than estimated and majorly compromised sales of commercial vehicles. According to data from ANAC (National Automobile Association of Chile), 11,489 units (trucks and buses) were sold, a fall of 16.9% compared with the 13,829 units in the first nine months of 2022.

The truck segment was the hardest hit and recorded accumulated sales of 9,145 trucks from January to September this year, a fall of 24.6% compared with 12,133 units registered in the same period in 2022.
