Volvo FH Electric wins International Truck of the Year 2024

The Volvo FH Electric

France – At Solutrans, held at Eurexpo in Lyon, France between 21-25 November, the International Truck of the Year first prize was awarded to Volvo Trucks Corporation of Gothenburg, Sweden for its ‘FH Electric’ battery-electric heavy truck.

Serial production of the FH Electric, alongside its sister models, the FM and FMX Electric, began last year at Gothenburg and last September in Ghent, East Flanders, Belgium. It is the fourth model in the FH range to have won the International Truck of the Year award: previous models won in 1994, 2000, and 2014. It is also the very first electric vehicle in the award’s history to take the top prize.
