Italy / South Korea – According to a signed agreement, Hyundai Motor Corporation of Seoul, South Korea is set to supply the Iveco Group NV based in Turin, with an Iveco-badged electric light commercial vehicle for the European market, which will be launched at this year’s IAA Transportation event in Hannover, Germany. This electric Light Commercial Vehicle* (eLCV) is based on Hyundai’s new (eLCV) platform and serves to strengthen the Iveco LCV lineup alongside the Daily series. According to the agreement, Hyundai will manufacture and supply the chassis cab, while Iveco Group will handle local customisation and European distribution through its sales network.

An initial agreement (MoU) was first signed in 2022, to explore opportunities to collaborate in several key areas, from vehicle technology to joint component sourcing and mutual vehicle supply. The fruits of this collaboration are evident. Just last year, Iveco launched its new hydrogen city bus (Iveco Bus E-Way H2) which features an advanced fuel cell system provided by Hyundai. The companies also co-developed the eDaily FCEV.
