Chile's CV sales wane in the third quarter by 20.0%

Chile - Chile closed the third quarter with a decrease in sales of heavy commercial vehicles by almost 20% to 1,332 registrations (trucks and buses) compared with 1,664 units in the previous period, according to ANAC (National Automotive Association of Chile) of Santiago.

In January to September of this year, the truck market sold 8,585 units, a 6.0% decrease compared with 9,145 units in the same period in 2023. In the month of September, truck sales rose by 11.8% totalled 1,139 vehicles, compared with 1,019 units in September 2023. According to ANAC, this good performance in September was in line with the current economic outlook.
