Krone names new Managing Director of production

Germany – German trailer manufacturer, Krone Commercial Vehicles SE (a subsidiary of Bernard Krone Holding GmbH & Co KG) of Werlte, has named Volker Perk as the new Managing Director for production, taking over from Alfons B. Veer on February 1, 2025. His appointment is part of Krone’s continued effort to “future-proof its European production plants” by increasing its investment in automation and innovation. As Managing Director, Perk's responsibilities will include overseeing production processes, integrating advanced automation technologies and ensuring that Krone's manufacturing capabilities remain globally competitive.
Earlier this year the company underwent significant cost-cutting measures after the Chairman, Bernard Krone, said at the AGM that the company was uncertain about 2024, due to the feedback from European farmers and less demand from transport companies. Demand for agricultural trailers and wagon production has subsequently declined in 2024.
