The start of production is scheduled for Q4 2027 with implementation across various CV applications. The EGR coolers are an integral part of reducing nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions in internal combustion engines.

The company is set to supply its high-voltage eFan system to a global commercial vehicle OEM for use in the North American markets, which marks the biggest single eFan system contract in North America for BorgWarner.

BorgWarner’s full-year financial year results included net sales of USD14.1bn, an increase of 12.4% when compared with 2022 (USD12.6bn). Gross profit was up too in 2023 at USD2.5bn (2022: USD2.3bn) with operating income of USD1.1bn, or 8.2% of net sales.

The company has appointed Amy Kulikowski as its new Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer, reporting directly to the new Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Craig Aaron.

BorgWarner has installed a “super-fast” 960kW liquid-cooled high-power supercharging HGV electric charger at the Decathlon warehouse in Goodman Citylink near Beijing.

BorgWarner has announced that it will use FinDreams Battery pack design and cells to manufacture lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery packs for the European, North American and Asian Pacific Commercial Vehicle (CV) markets.

The HVCH is expected to go into production in Q1 2026. This is the third contract that has been secured for this product, which is specifically designed for the heating of a BEV’s battery and cabin.

The EUR 75 million takeover of Eldor’s EHS segment, includes, on-board chargers (OBCs), DC/DC converters, and integrated high voltage boxes, all of which are expected to complement BorgWarner’s existing product portfolio.

BorgWarner is set to supply its Combined Inverter and DC/DC Converter (CIDD) units to an unnamed European OEM. This product is designed to manage both a vehicle's electric drive and its accessory systems, and it maximises the vehicle's power density.

The partnership could be worth up to USD 1 billion and in a statement, BorgWarner said ‘it plans to integrate Onsemi’s EliteSiC 1200 V and 750 V power devices into its power modules for traction inverters.’
