New York Mayor, Eric Adams, announced USD 77 million in federal funding for the New York School Bus Incentive Program (NYSBIP), which provides subsidies to help NY school districts fund the acquisition of 180 new electric school buses.

ENC bus manufacturing at Riverside will wind down by the end of fiscal year 2024, once outstanding commitments to customers have been fulfilled.

The two companies - who have already produced school buses on the Ford Class 4 chassis platform - will now start working with the GM 4500 as well; a cutaway van chassis best known as the basis for the ‘Silverado’ pickup truck range by Chevrolet.
