ACT Expo 2024: Hyundai and Plus display America’s first autonomous fuel cell electric truck

Hyundai Xcient with Level 4 autonomous driving by Plus

USA – At Advanced Clean Transportation (ACT) Expo 2024, held between 20-23 May at the Las Vegas Convention Center, Hyundai Motor Company of Seoul, South Korea and Plus of Santa Clara, California unveiled the USA’s first ever fuel cell electric truck with autonomous driving capabilities.

The truck in question is a Class 8 ‘Xcient’ model, which was debuted in North America at last year’s show. The truck on display was installed with Plus ‘SuperDrive’, a hardware and software package (including lidar, radar, and cameras) which allows for vehicle autonomy up to Level 4.
