Electric vehicle builder, Lightning eMotors, formerly headquartered in Loveland, Colorado has combined its business operations with Private-to-Public Equity (PPE) technology company, GigCapital3 Inc of Palo Alto, California to become listed on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE).

US medium-duty battery- and hydrogen fuel cell-electric commercial vehicle manufacturer, Lightning eMotors and technology, media, and telecom private-to-public equity corporation, GigCapital Inc, have reached an agreement to combine their businesses, which will result in Lightning eMotors becoming a publicly listed company.

Electric commercial vehicle supplier, Lightning Systems, is expanding its manufacturing output to meet increased demand: The company is claiming an order book worth in excess of USD32m from both commercial and government fleet operations prompting the need to more than triple its manufacturing capacity in Loveland.

Colorado-based Lightning Systems, a developer of zero-emission drivetrains, has raised USD41m in equity, debt and working capital funding from existing and new investors.
