Bus and coach manufacturer, NFI Group Inc, is introducing an initiative, called NFI Forward which, following the unforeseen and devastating impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the industry, is designed to transition the business from a holding company to a fully integrated operating entity.

NFI Group Inc - North America’s largest and most diversified bus and coach manufacturer - has acquired Britain’s largest bus and coach builder, Alexander Dennis Ltd, for GBP320m; this represents an implied purchase multiple of 7.3 x ADL’s fiscal year 2018 adjusted earnings before interest, taxation, depreciation and amortisation and on a cash-free, debt-free basis, subject to certain adjustments. 

NFI Group Inc in March reported record new vehicle deliveries of 4,313 EUs in the year ending 2018, and up by 12.7% from 3,828 in 2017.

Winnipeg-based NFI Group has launched, what it is calling its Autonomous Technology Programme which is to be developed by its New Flyer of America Inc and New Flyer Industries Canada ULC subsidiaries.
