Busworld Europe 2025 Congress focuses on Digital Mobility Solutions
By Luke Willetts - 8th September 2025

Belgium – Busworld Europe 2025 will take place at Brussels Expo, Belgium, from 4–9 October. Central to the event is the Busworld Congress, running 6–7 October and built around five thematic tracks. The second of these, “Digital Mobility Solutions”, held on 7 October, highlights the accelerating shift towards data-driven operations and integrated mobility platforms.
This track examines the transformative potential of digitalisation for the bus and coach industry across four key themes:
• Telematics and predictive maintenance – exploring how real-time data and AI-driven insights can improve fleet reliability, safety, and cost efficiency.
• Passenger information and ticketing systems – looking at digital platforms that streamline the customer journey, from seamless booking and payment to accurate, real-time service updates.
• Integrated mobility and cross-modal solutions – considering how buses can link more effectively with other modes of transport, creating a cohesive and sustainable mobility ecosystem.
• Data governance and privacy – addressing the crucial questions around ownership, security and the responsible use of passenger and operational data.
Speakers will include representatives from the IRU (International Road Transport Union), European transport technology platforms, and industry pioneers specialising in mobility software and digital ecosystems. By debating both opportunities and risks, the track provides a balanced look at how digitalisation is becoming the backbone of smarter and more resilient networks.

The Congress, a fixture of the global bus and coach industry, is more than a product showcase. It is an essential forum for debating the systems, standards and strategies that will define mobility in the years ahead.
