There was plenty to report from the 2024 edition of the Advanced Clean Transportation (ACT) Expo held at the Las Vegas Convention Center between May 20-23.

The 2024 Commercial Vehicle Show in Birmingham from 23 – 25 April, was a somewhat sombre affair without the truck OEMs, yet plenty of exhibitors turned up to display their new product offerings. Of course, the T&BB team was in attendance to bring you all the latest news from the show.

The European e-bus market gathered in Bonn, Germany to test drive several OEM’s new electric bus (some articulated) offerings. T&BB was in attendance as we gathered at the Stadtwerke Bonn bus depot to begin comparison testing.

The company announced record 2023 sales figures of USD 10.6 billion, an increase of 4% compared with 2022 figures of USD 10.2 billion. Adjusted EBITA rose by USD 145 million, to USD 845 million in 2023 (2022: USD 700 million). Financially, the company is healthy with an operating cash flow of USD 476 million and a sales backlog of USD 950 million.

Steven Miller replaces Brett Icahn as Icahn Capital Board Designee. Miller is a portfolio manager at Icahn Capital L.P. a subsidiary of Icahn Enterprises L.P. The board will continue to be composed of 10 directors, nine of whom are independent.

The ‘Zero-6 e-Transmissions’ – part of Dana’s range of ‘Spicer Electrified’ drives for commercial vehicles – brings together motor, inverter, and three-speed transmissions in a single unit.

These metallic bipolar plates are engineered to maximise the performance of proton exchange membrane (PEM) electrolysers used to produce hydrogen fuel.

Maumee, Ohio-based Dana Inc has entered an agreement with Lion Electric Co of Saint-Jérôme, Canada, to supply its electric trucks and buses with drive components. The agreement covers electric motors, inverters, controllers, axles, and driveshafts for all of Lion’s electric platforms.

Ohio-based Dana Inc has announced that its new Sustainable Mobility Center, located at its headquarters, has been awarded with Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification.
