Though the powertrain comes from SuperPanther, Steyr Automotive says the eTopas truck was “co-created” by the two companies for the European market.

The company said that the first customer orders will be fulfilled from Q3 2023 onwards. 

As part of its environmental services remit, MUT manufactures municipal truck bodies for waste collection, street cleaning, and sewer treatment.

The German investment firm will take over MAN Truck & Bus Österreich, which will be renamed 'Steyr Automotive GmbH'.
