Upon closure of the transaction between Platform Science and Trimble, Trimble Transportation customers will gain access to the ‘Virtual Vehicle’ platform, enabling access to real-time vehicle data and third-party applications directly from the onboard telematics.

Schmitz Cargobull's Data Management Center will be integrated with Trimble Transportation’s own fleet management platform, meaning that operators can access all their vehicle data on one platform without needing to install additional hardware.

Trimble will take on Transporeon’s customers in Europe and will use its assets to enhance its transport management systems offered in both Europe and North America.
