LaFontaine Automotive Group will set up and manage two dealerships for Bollinger Motors in the state of Michigan: one in Lansing and the other in Farmington Hills.

The planned facility will cover 46,000 square metres and employ more than 500 workers, engaged in storing and distributing spare parts as well as electric vehicle batteries.

The company says it will focus on commercialising its ‘Solar Bus Kit’, which (despite the name) is intended for trucks and trailers as well as buses.

The company reported that sales of Maxus vans grew by 46% in 2023, while its battery electric vans took fourth place in the UK LCV-EV market, and it forecasts growth of 50% across all brands this year. 

CEO and founder, Ali Javidan, said that establishing the advisory council is “a major milestone for Range as we bring our electric trailers to the commercial trucking market”. 

An experienced transport policy and public affairs specialist, Robert Gwynn joins the company with the role of getting more alternatively fuelled vehicles across its fleet.

The e-Sys is an electric energy recovery and auxiliary traction system developed exclusively by Randoncorp subsidiaries. The Mexican market, according to Suspensys, on average is 25,000 new semi-trailers per year, and is the second largest in Latin America, behind Brazil.

Transport operator, VIX Logística S.A. has started testing its first converted (retrofitted) electric heavy-duty truck in Brazil. Named Atlas, it has a maximum traction capacity (CMT) of 120 tons and has an electric motor with a power output of 450 kW (600 hp).

Agreements were signed with dealers in southern Alberta, Toronto, and Montreal.

At the show, Hyvia presented a Renault Master van with fuel cell electric driveline which was converted into a workshop vehicle by Kollé of Santeny.

The station boasts a daily capacity for up to 40 Class 8 trucks, including (though not exclusively) Nikola’s own range of fuel cell electric trucks.

By the end of the year, MAN aims to complete construction of a new 52,650-square-metre building, with a capacity of up to 40,000 commercial vehicle parts.
