The capital and largest city of Peru, Lima, in June received 300 buses with Caio Induscar Apache VIP bus bodies and Mercedes-Benz OF-1721 high-floor chassis for the Pan American Games, which are taking place there between July 26 and August 11.

Iveco Latin America Ltda of Sete Lagoas, Minas Gerais, (a subsidiary of CNH Industrial), has exported 40, 170S28-type bus chassis to Peru: Ten chassis are to be used by Andrea Express in Piurra and 30 by ET Salvador in Lima.

The Peruvian market for heavy commercial vehicles from 6 ton and above closed 2018 with the sales of 17,392 vehicles, an increase of 4% compared with 16,613 units in 2017, according to the Automotive Association of Peru.
