As of January 1, 2025, the ramp and lift business (Hübner Transportation GmbH) will be fully integrated into the Hübner Group.

Akia is developing a 36-metre-long high-capacity battery-powered electric vehicle, called ‘TransEra’, which can operate on normal roads without the need for special lanes, tracks or guidance systems.

Manufactured in Kassel, this hybrid version means operators no longer must choose between manual or electrically operated ramps, with both combined in one unit.

Hübner GmbH & Co KG (Hübner Group) of Kassel Germany has acquired Dutch electro-hydraulic chassis steering specialist, V.S.E. Vehicle Systems Engineering B.V. of Veenendaal, Netherlands, for an undisclosed sum from Weber-Hydraulik Group, which has owned VSE since 2014.

Hübner Group has developed a new TÜV-approved driver protection safety-glass screen with Kassel Public Transport Company which, so far, have been installed in 78 of KVG's buses operating in Kassel.
