The jury praised the concept of the truck, which was first unveiled at the last IAA Transportation event in 2022: originally called ‘eActros Long Haul’, the idea was to develop a truck capable of covering up to 500 kilometres on a single charge.

The Kässbohrer K.SPA M is an extendable heavy-duty platform developed by Kässbohrer in 3- and 4-axle versions and is available in different height options that can be coupled with mega and standard trucks.

The non-tipping silo K.SSL 35 vehicles will operate throughout Germany transporting cement to Spengler’s concrete factories.

The Kässbohrer-bodied truck, with a combination weight reaching up to 42 tons when fully laden with eight cars, is powered by a 230-kWh battery.

The vehicles will operate in the Nordics transporting granular and powdered materials with a maximum volume of 90m3.

The company has agreed to supply cement transporter, Transportes Morvedre Transmorvedre of Valencia, with non-tipping K.SSL 35 silos with a tare weight of just 4,515kg.

Trailer builder, Kässbohrer, which sells its trailers predominantly in mainland Europe says its sales grew strongly in 2021 with sales in some segments and markets more than doubling.
