Supplier of vehicle lighting and electronics, Hella India Automotive Pvt Ltd – a 100% subsidiary of Hella GmbH & Co KGaA - is building a second electronics plant in India to meet growing demand for electronic components from local customers.

Transportation Power Inc, an advanced clean transportation technology company, established in 2010 and based in Escondido, and Meritor Inc of Troy, a manufacturer of axles and brake systems announced last month completion of two multi-year projects for the development, testing and evaluation of advanced, zero-emission electric yard tractors and Class 8 trucks.

Following an announcement by ZF Friedrichshafen AG at the end of 2016 that it was forming two joint ventures in China with Beiqi Foton Motor Co Ltd to produce and sell commercial vehicle transmissions, the second of these two joint ventures - ZF Foton HCV Automated Transmissions (Jiaxing) Co Ltd, which is 51% owned by ZF and set up to build its heavy-duty TraXon transmission for trucks and coaches in China - has started production at a new production facility in Jiaxing.

Horizontal moving floor specialist, Cargo Floor BV has announced it has started construction work to expand its assembly plant in Coevorden by some 10,000 square metres – the extension is expected to improve production efficiency through shorter and more efficient internal logistic movements, the company said.
