Production of bus and coach bodies in Brazil saw a 4.9% increase in the first six months of this year to 10,851 units from 10,336 units.

Production in 2023 totalled 19,612 vehicles, according to FABUS.

Brazilian body builders produced 10,336 units in the period January to June this year, up 26.8% compared with the 8,152 units manufactured in the same period of 2022.

All segments performed well with city bus sales up by 80.1% at 9,675 units against 5,373 units in 2021.

Passenger travel in Brazil regains some momentum and pushes up production levels.
