Production is slated to begin in 2025 at the Iveco bus plant in Vysoké Myto, Czech Republic. Available in three lengths (10.7,  12, 13 metres, pop and LINE versions), the bus is compatible with XTL (X-To-Liquid) renewable fuels.

The order consists of 300 Crossway low-entry buses, 50 Evadys coaches and 60 Daily minibuses, set to be delivered between Q4 2024 and Q1 2025. These vehicles will operate in the port city of Abidjan.

Iveco Bus has delivered its first batch of diesel ICE Crossway buses (order of 370) to Dakar, Senegal, with the remaining units to be delivered by the end of Q1 2024, along with a batch of spare parts and tools needed for maintenance and upkeep ensuring optimum efficiency and performance.

The company has recently announced a raft of orders, including 411 e-buses (E-WAY) to ATAC S.p.A. in Rome and 153 E-Way buses to Azienda Trasporti Milanesi S.p.A. (ATM) in Milan, Italy.

The intercity buses are currently in use, between Istanbul's Sabiha Gökçen Airport and Balıkesir. The Balıkesir municipality ordered multiple variants of the Crossway.

Giorgio Zino is set to lead commercial operations in Europe, Danilo Fetzner in Latin America, Gauthier Ricord in Africa and the Middle East and Marco Franza in the Asia Pacific. Stéphane Espinasse has been appointed to lead Sales and Market Development of global operations.

The bus rolled off the production line in Czech Republic at Iveco’s Vysoke Myto plant, one of Europe’s largest bus manufacturing facilities.

The E-Way H2 will be produced at the Iveco Bus plants in Annonay, France, and Foggia, Italy. The 12-metre low-floor city bus is equipped with a Siemens ELFA 3, 310-kW e-motor and an advanced fuel cell system provided by Hyundai. With four hydrogen tanks located on the roof and one 69 kWh battery pack by FPT Industrial, the vehicle offers a driving range of 450 km (280 miles) and can accommodate 115 passengers.

The facility, which has been operational since July 2023, allows testing of both individual components and complete vehicles in real driving conditions, simulating all types of road and climate conditions (between -15 °C and +55°C in all seasons).

The deal between the two companies is aimed at helping legacy fleet operators transition to electric by providing a comprehensive offering for fleet deployment and charging infrastructure. The data provided will offer operators information on the status of their vehicles, batteries and charging infrastructure, enabling them to optimise their fleets.

The order comprises 135 E-Way buses in the 12-metre version and 90 articulated buses measuring 18 metres. 28 of these will be Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) models. The buses are to be produced at Iveco’s new Italian bus building plant in Foggia, Southern Italy.
