A 12m Caetano H2.City Gold, built by Caetano bus in Gaia and powered by a Toyota hydrogen fuel cell, is now operating on different routes for the regional public transport company, Regionalverkehr Köln GmbH in Cologne.

Transports Metropolitans de Barcelona is to acquire eight hydrogen fuel cell 12m H2 City Gold buses from Portuguese manufacturer, Caetano Bus.

Caetano Bus says it is focusing sales of its electric bus chassis predominantly to markets located outside Western Europe, according to Jörg Pinto CEO of the Salvador Caetano Group in an interview with T&BB at Busworld in late October.

Portuguese bus and coach manufacturer, CaetanoBus and PB GUP Passazhiravtotrans, the largest bus operator in North-Western region of Russia, which signed a co-operation agreement during Busworld Europe, have announced Passazhiravtotrans began testing Caetano’s e.City Gold electric bus in St. Petersburg.

H2.City Gold is the name of the new hydrogen powered Caetano electric bus, with a range of 400km built by CaetanoBus in Portugal and featuring the Toyota fuel cell system

Kohei Umeno, business development at CaetanoBus at UITP 2019 in Stockholm, last month announced it is planning to launch its second-generation electric bus chassis at Busworld 2019 in Brussels in October.
