A new light-duty e-van of NASDAQ-listed start-up, Arrival, has recieved whole vehicle type approval from the European Union.

The Swedish commercial vehicle manufacturer will appeal the judgement handed down by the General Court of the EU, that Scania did in fact violate ‘antitrust’ rules between 1997-2011, the period during which major European truck manufacturers reportedly colluded in fixing prices.

More than 100 local authorities are taking legal action against Daimler, DAF, Volvo, MAN, Iveco, and Scania, who were found to have colluded in price fixing over fourteen years in 2016.

The sum is to be paid in five instalments, following the resolution of a government investigation which was initiated by fraud allegations against the company's founder, Trevor Milton.
