Mellor Coachcraft Ltd, a manufacturer of accessible low floor vehicles, is to launch a new niche product at Busworld Europe 2019 this month, designed specifically for the demand responsive transportation market.

Following its launch at the Global Public Transport Summit in Stockholm (organised by UITP in June this year), the hydrogen-fuelled Solaris Urbino 12 Hydrogen immediately underwent trials by operators in Austria, Italy and Germany.

A new CO2 monitoring system for inside the bus has been developed by Potenza Technology Ltd. The system has been installed on a new protype all-electric low entry city bus developed as part of CELEB, a consortium of British companies and Agrale Argentina, which is due to go on trial in Q1 2020.

The new production unit is located within an existing MANN+HUMMEL plant and near its main customer. The plant is to be digitally connected with lean manufacturing principals focused on reducing waste.
