Following on the back of a series of large orders, the Northern Irish manufacturer is looking to expand its workforce to more than 900 employees by the end of this year and to grow its sales department.

The manufacturer of truck-trailer refrigeration technologies will dedicate the new research and development centre to zero-emission technologies for markets in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and North America.

The Battery Integration Workshop is a hands-on programme lasting one and a half days which has been designed to teach OEMs in the commercial electric vehicle sector about battery technology and applications.

The German manufacturer tested a prototype city bus fitted with an autonomous driving system which allows the vehicle to independently manoeuvre itself into place at a designated stop.
