The Northern Irish manufacturer claims to be the leader in electric buses in the UK and it is now aiming for leadership in the European market.

Volvo Buses will roll out its active safety systems not only in its Euro VI and electric vehicles but also across its Euro III and V vehicles, intended for markets where such safety features are not legally required.

The bus will integrate BAE System’s electric powertrain, Ballard’s hydrogen fuel cell and Gillig’s low-floor body. Production is set to begin in Q1 2026 for the North American market.
