A collaboration between Cummins Inc and emission control software developer, Tula Technology Inc, has resulted in a technical demonstration of Tula’s diesel Dynamic Skip Fire software in a Cummins X15 engine, which controls cylinder deactivation, and thereby achieving significant reductions in emissions and fuel consumption in Cummins’ diesel engine.
