At the IAA in Hanover Ford Trucks said that it was working on a right hand drive Euro VII diesel engine powered version of both the F-MAX and F-LINE truck models.

The Big.e delivery vehicle offers a volume of four cubic metres, a load capacity of 1000 kg and a range of between 100 and 170km depending on the battery configuration.

In the future, the former Van Hool facility will produce stainless steel tankers, whereas GRW will produce aluminium products at its own facilities, said GRW CEO Gerhard van der Merwe.

However, Cummins envisages that, eventually, the “electric stuff” will become the core of its business.

Cummins used the IAA to launch the next-generation heavy-duty on-highway diesel X10 engine.
