For the very first time, Iveco is renewing its entire truck product line next year. Capital spending on R&D will be ploughed into reducing CO2 emissions, developing fuel efficiency (for ICE vehicles) technology and a new zero-emissions product range.

Tanganelli has worked for UBS in the Investment Banking Division, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles in Business Development, CFO and Head of automotive components manufacturer, Magneti Marelli and most recently, assumed the role of CFO and Head of M&A at the Iren Group.

Iveco has unveiled its new HD BEV (Heavy-Duty Battery Electric Vehicle) and HD FCEV (Heavy-Duty Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles) under the Iveco brand. 

The 3.5-tonne Iveco eDaily has set an official Guinness World Record for the highest weight towed by an electric box van. The vehicle pulled three trucks with a total weight of 153.8 tonnes over the required distance of 30 metres.

Nikola Iveco Europe will now be renamed as EVCO (Electric Vehicles Company).  

Iveco has offered several iterations of the eDaily over the past decade.

Iveco Group will acquire the joint-venture manufacturing facility in Ulm, which was opened in 2021 for the assembly of Nikola ‘Tre’ battery- and fuel cell-electric trucks for the European market.

Pod Point will offer Iveco eDaily customers discounted prices on AC charging equipment to both individual and fleet operators handling the installation, maintenance and servicing of its charging units.

This strategy falls under the company’s “long-term incentive plan” which will see Iveco offer stocks to executives, making it easier to attract top talent from around the world.

With over 100 staff, the plant has a production capacity of 1,000 vehicles per year, including hydrogen fuel cell and battery-electric buses, with alternative propulsion systems produced in Turin.

The 2023 Commercial Vehicle Show in Birmingham from the 18th – 20th of April, was an exciting time for the UK truck market with 223 exhibitors displaying their new product offerings.

The new facility will house up to 480 technicians and 100 commercial staff with the aim of training staff in both vehicle repair and maintenance as well as customer-facing skills that will be put into use in Iveco dealerships.
