Hendrickson debuts its new HLC Series 1 Air Kit, set to replace the previous generation HAC Series control unit for lift axles (steer and non-steer) for trucks.

Based on the heavy-duty ‘TGX’ range, the ‘hTGX’ will be aimed at customers looking to decarbonise their operations in demanding applications such as construction, logging, and tanker transport.

The startup manufacturer says that one of the key changes to the 2024 model ‘Xos SV’ is the addition of an anti-lock braking system with hill hold to improve its drivability.

The TX-12 PRO automated transmission is now available with the heavy-duty Peterbilt Model 567 and 579 and the Kenworth T680 and T880.

The eTrucks will be offered in 4x2 and 6x2 axle configurations and a myriad of options affecting the wheelbase, the cab, the number of batteries, the battery pack layout, the position of the charging port, suspension, and so on.

Aurora shared progress on the upcoming commercial launch of its level 4 autonomous truck driving software (Aurora Driver) and for the very first time, publicly displayed the Aurora Driver in a Volvo VNL truck (without a driver), navigating different driving and safety scenarios on a closed circuit track. 

Located around 150km northeast of Lisbon, the Tramagal plant produces the Canter and its electric sibling the eCanter. The facility is the third largest automobile manufacturing centre in Portugal and has produced 11,800 trucks to date, shipped to 33 European markets and Morocco.

The first project is a joint program with Czech truck manufacturer, Tatra Trucks to co-develop a specialised off-road truck prototype called the “Battery Electric Tatra Truck” with multi-speed Transmission (BETTT). Eaton will be responsible for the development of the power distribution unit (PDU) and 4-speed EV transmission.

Bandvulc has unveiled the new 315/80 fitment of its popular BD5 truck tyre retread. Bandvulc claims that the BD5 returns a 40% increase in lifetime mileage compared to its predecessor, the BD08.

The digital tyre management tool (“app”) can be accessed through any smart device and is free to use with five connected vehicles or less.  

The new ‘Volvo FH Aero’, announced earlier this year, will launch in EMEA and Asia-Pacific markets over the next two years with Stoneridge’s mirror-camera system installed.
