Scania’s Brazilian subsidiary, Scania do Brasil Ltda, has joined forces with Sabesp, the state water and sewage company, to demonstrate the potential for using biogas in operating heavy vehicles.

Operator, Compañía de Transporte Saucinc SA, in March 2019 is to start transporting passengers using electric buses bought from the Chinese company, BYD Inc.

The first deliveries of electric buses to local customers have been completed by BYD production facilities in France and Hungary.
