Blue Bird has expanded its production capacity to 5,000 electric school buses a year after it recently opened its ‘Electric Vehicle Build-up Centre’ at the company’s primary U.S. production facility in Fort Valley, Georgia.

Testing adduced a volumetric score of 32.82 cubic metres, the highest ever achieved by a vehicle assessed for the Direct Vision Standard (the second-best score being 22 cubic metres).

Ebusco’s Management Board now consists of Peter Bijvelds (CEO), Jurjen Jongma (CFO) and Bob Fleuren (COO).

Iveco has unveiled its new HD BEV (Heavy-Duty Battery Electric Vehicle) and HD FCEV (Heavy-Duty Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles) under the Iveco brand. 

The school bus utilises 196kWh batteries which have 25 percent more capacity than previous generations and fast charging capabilities allows the bus to be fully charged in three hours. Furthermore, this generation is 450 kg (1000 pounds) lighter, making it more efficient than its predecessors.

The agreement to supply 253 hydrogen-fuelled vehicles between late 2024 and 2027 marks Quantron’s first major foray into the French market.

Pepper Motion will take over 'BAX' – a cab-chassis platform powered by a BPW e-axle – shouldering the responsibility for assembly, marketing, and aftersales.

Sigma Powertrain's flagship product is the EMAX, an electric drive system for electric vehicles in classes 6-8, as well as offroad vehicles and heavy equipment. It incorporates a transmission based on a patented design which uses no hydraulics.

The investment will go into preparing the plant for production of its next-generation internal combustion engine (ICE) for full-size light-duty trucks.

Whilst details remain sparse at this point on the power source (fuel cell or hydrogen ICE?), the new i6 coach is set to have a minimum range of 500km on a single refill. Irizar says that the hydrogen coach forms part of its “future business strategy and technology roadmap, which includes the Irizar Efficient range of multi-technology vehicles.”

This new model is Mitsubishi's sixth-generation Triton pickup truck - it is, however, the first full-model changeover in eight years, with the current model first being launched in 2015.
