BAE System's Power & Propulsion Solutions Division has supplied almost 16,000 electric drive systems to manufacturers in different countries, mainly in North America and Europe. In New York City's urban transport fleet alone, 1,700 buses are equipped with BAE Systems' hybrid powertrain.

The vehicle was produced as part of the existing SuperTruck program co-funded by the U.S. Department of Energy and industry, aiming to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in road transportation.

Owner Reinhard Hübner announced the new Management Board is as follows: Uwe Bittroff, Head of Bus Gangway Systems in the Mobility Road division; Ingolf Cedra, Head of the Material Solutions and Photonics division; Kai Mentel, Senior Vice President of Mobility Rail and Claus Schäfer, Head of Corporate Finance.

In terms of the transaction details, BorgWarner shareholders would own shares of both companies, with its completion set for late 2023, pending regulatory approval.
