The car and van manufacturing corporation has entered into a binding agreement with Samsung SDI to establish a joint-venture battery manufacturing facility in Kokomo, Indiana, USA for powering electric vehicles. 

Iochpe-Maxion S.A., based in São Paulo, has announced it is to invest BRA100 million (USD20 million) in its Cruzeiro manufacturing facility in Brazil. As a result of the investment, the company will increase its annual production capacity by 400,000 truck wheels and 110,000 agricultural wheels.

The Swedish manufacturer will extend the range of its liquid biogas trucks to 1,400 km and up to 1,000 km for its compressed biogas trucks by offering new options for fuel storage and tank configuration.

The Swedish manufacturer will begin producing a new generation of battery-electric trucks designed for regional haul, with the range extended up to 350 km on a single charge, from the end of 2023.
