The Commonwealth Development Bank (CBA) of Australia has agreed to an USD 80 million electric school bus finance package with Australian distributor GoZero, to fund the replacement of diesel school buses starting in Sydney.

The total number of city buses with alternative drivelines in European Union 27 countries plus the UK, Norway (NO), Iceland (ICE) and Switzerland (EU 27+4) totalled 13,466 units  comprising 6,354 electric buses (excludes trolley buses), 4,022 hybrid-electric buses, 2,883 CNG buses and 207, hydrogen (fuel cell) buses.

Under this recognition certification, Tata Motors can now claim incentives to enhance and expand production of M3 category3 electric buses.

It is understood that cab and based chassis for the Rhino 5536e is a re-engineered chassis cab from China. It offers a gross combined vehicle weight (GCVW) of 55 tons is powered by a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM) that develops maximum output of 360hp @ 1200 rev/min and torque of 2400Nm @ 600 rev/min.

Bollinger’s B4 electric chassis cab now qualifies for an IRS 40,000 U.S. tax credit for commercial clean vehicles, under the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022*. Deliveries of the B4 chassis cab are set for Q3 2024.

The 149 e-buses, which had been removed pending investigation of a fire, are being after a detailed report was sent to RATP in Paris explaining the main cause of the fire and the actions being taken to rectify the problem. The Bollore Group attributed the fire to “the assembly of an electronic component which caused a short-circuit between the cells making up the battery packs.“
