For a relatively small market of 17,729 commercial vehicles sold in 2022, there are a large number of brands selling into the market place.

ANDEMOS reports 41,634 trucks and buses were sold in 2022 compared with 35,567 units in 2021, a rise of 6,067 units or 14.57%.

The Chilean commercial vehicle market closed the year to the end of September 2022 with registrations of 13,829 units, an increase of 5.9% compared with 13,059 units in the same period of 2021.

The Argentinian commercial vehicle market was reported to have grown by 1.5% with sales of 11,746 units in the first nine months of 2022, compared with 11,576 units in the same period last year, according to data from SIOMAA SA, a data analysis company specializing in the automotive sector.

Total registrations of trailers and truck bodies reached 117,046 units, a 3.2% decrease from 120,921 in the same period of 2021, according to the National Association of Road Implement Manufacturers in Brazil (ANFIR).

Brazilian sales of bus and coach chassis grew by 8.8% in January to September 2022 to 11,904 units compared with 10,938 in the previous year, according to data from ANFAVEA.

In the first nine months of 2022, truck sales in Brazil between January and September 2022, fell by 2.2% to 93,162 vehicles compared with 95,273 trucks in the same period of the previous year, according to data from ANFAVEA.
