Xiamen-based bus manufacturer King Long United Automotive Industry Co Ltd has delivered more than 150 CNG buses to the city of Guadalajara, Mexico.

EV builder The Lion Electric Co. of Saint-Jérôme, Quebec, has announced it has received a conditional purchase order of 1,000 electric LionC school buses from Student Transportation of Canada (STC), a subsidiary of Student Transportation of America.

The order is part of customer Champign-Urbana Mass Transit District's federal-supported project to produce its own hydrogen using energy generated by solar power.

The buses will be delivered by the end of 2022 for service in Amman following a USD32m tender financed by the EBRD.

The battery-electric 'Element' will be trialled alongside Siemens' 'Sicharge UC100', a charging station capable of delivering up to 125 kW of energy.

Bus manufacturer Wrightbus of Ballymena, Northern Ireland, has announced two single-deck zero emission buses. The company showcased the hydrogen-powered GB Kite Hydroliner at Cenex LCV21, with the same e-systems powering the battery-powered GB Kite Electroliner. Both vehicles are expected to enter series production in Q1 2022.

Bus and coach manufacturer Irizar Group, based in Ormaiztegi, Spain, has announced it has manufactured its first series production model of the i4 LNG coach. It is now available to order, built on a Scania 320 EB 4x2 chassis, equipped with a 9 litre, 320 hp Scania LNG engine.

The 200-kW powertrain, to be marketed across the world, is developed entirely by Volvo and is suited for single deck and double deck applications.

Capital Metro of Austin, Texas have placed an order for 26 ZX5 Elextric Bus units, with the option to purchase an additional 126 plus charging equipment over the next five years.

GAZ Group of Nizhny Novgorod, Russia, has unveiled a host of 15 new-generation vehicles at the COMTRANS 2021 show in Moscow. Three of these vehicles are built on zero-emission platforms, with two fuel-cell buses and one battery-electric bus.
