Iveco SPA and FPT Industrial with operational headquarters in Turin, the CV and powertrain brands of CNH Industrial N.V., and HFC/electric highway truck start-up, Nikola Motor Company, which formed a joint venture in 2019, have announced they are to manufacture the Nikola TRE electric tractor at Iveco's chassis engineering hub in Ulm.

Iveco SpA is now producing Eurocargo 'Glider' chassis in its Brescia factory, as part of a collaboration with UK-based electric drivetrain specialist, Electra Commercial Vehicles Ltd.

FPT Industrial, the powertrain division of CNH Industrial, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with battery producer, Microvast, aimed at an industrial and commercial co-operation to enable FPT Industrial to design and assemble battery packs in-house, at its facility in Turin, which would be then be offered on CNH Industrial vehicles and to third-party customers.
