Scania AB e announced record truck sales in 2018 of 87,995 units (2017: 82,472) and that bus and coach (chassis and FBU) sales too increased to a record number of 8,482 units in 2018 (2017: 8,305).

Sweden's Scania has supplied a 16-litre engine to support a new Australian trial of renewable diesel fuel. The fuel will be made from waste plastic, old vehicle tyres, agricultural and forestry waste, as well as bio-solids. The trial is aimed at achieving commercial scale production.
