The truck on show - based on the Freightliner Cascadia - had an 80-kg hydrogen storage capacity, but with 100 kg Quantron claims the vehicle range could reach between 750 and 850 miles.

The intercity e-bus launch is in line with its roadmap of offering a fully electric bus range in 2023.

Nova Bus has won a contract for up to 1,229 electric transit buses in the province of Québec – the LFSe+ transit 12m electric buses will be delivered over three years starting in 2025 and will feature BAE Systems’ GEN 3 modular electric propulsion system.

Storing hydrogen at 350 bar pressure, the ‘G-Stor Go H2 Hydrogen Cylinder’ is made from lightweight composite materials with a polymer liner (i.e., “Type 4” cylinder technology).

With this growing sector of the business, the aim is to have a dedicated team serving existing customers and growing the mobility business, with projected sales revenue expected to reach EUR 80 billion by 2029.

These buses are equipped with an Allison Torqmatic fully automatic transmission and a Cummins engine aimed at improving fuel efficiency, reducing emissions and lowering engine noise levels. This contributes to the significant growth in Allison’s export bus sales from China.
