e-Charging company, Enel X, based in Rome, Italy, has announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with Iveco, based in Turin, Italy. As part of the agreement, the two firms will assess the interoperability of Enel X’s charging infrastructure with Iveco Group electric vehicles; they will also evaluate the best ways that Iveco vehicles can support Enel’s transition to a zero-emission vehicle fleet.

Shell plc, now headquartered in London, UK, and BYD Auto Co Ltd of Shenzhen, China, have signed a cooperation agreement focusing on the supply of electric vehicle charging infrastructure across Europe and China. As part of the agreement, the two firms will also establish a joint venture to develop EV charging networks in China.

GreenPower Motor Company Inc, based in Vancouver, Canada, has signed a supply agreement with Cincinnati, Ohio-based Workhorse Group Inc, for the supply of 1,500 GreenPower Star cab and chassis for use in Workhorse’s new Class 4 W750 step van line.

Hexagon Purus ASA, based in Ålesund, Norway, has been selected to supply hydrogen tanks to New Flyer Industries, based in Winnipeg, Canada, for use in its Xcelsior CHARGE H2 fuel cell transit bus. The total value of the contract is estimated at around USD2 million.

Haldex AB of Landskrona, Sweden, has announced a partnership with Bernard Krone Holding GmbH & Co KG, based in Spelle, Germany, for the supply of its fourth-generation electronic brake system (EBS) platform for trailers.

Kodiak Robotics Inc, based in Mountain View, California, and CEVA Logistics of Houston, Texas, have teamed up to deliver freight autonomously between Dallas Fort-Worth and Austin; and Dallas-Fort Worth and Oklahoma City.

Mercedes-Benz do Brazil and Comil are developing city buses, comprising Comil's Svelto bus body mounted on Mercedes-Benz’s OF 1730 chassis, for export to the Gambia in west Africa, a first for the two companies

Starting in January this year, Mercedes-Benz do Brasil and Marcopolo have exported a total of 328 coaches and buses to charter fleet operators in Chile for transporting employees of several mining companies. 

MWM has announced the renewal of an agreement for the assembly of the MAN D08 and D26 engines that equip VW buses, medium-duty, semi-heavy and extra-heavy trucks at MWM’ s Santo Amaro plant.

FPT is the new engine supplier for the Delivery Express+: the new 3.0-litre F1C Euro VI engine, specially developed for the VW light truck, has an output of 156hp and a torque of 360Nm, and boasts a reduction of up to 5% in fuel consumption on previous engine versions.

Easymile SAS, based in Toulouse, France, has provided its autonomous vehicles in Norway with a software update focussing on features specifically relevant to Nordic conditions, including enhanced ground perception and improved rain and snow filtering. The software development has been supported through EasyMile’s partnership with Applied Autonomy AS, based in Kongsberg, Norway.
