Schmitz customers who use ‘TrailerConnect’ to monitor their trailers can now access Goodyear’s ‘TPMS Connect’ software without needing to install any additional hardware.

Taking the ‘Voith Electrical Drive System’ (rated at 410 kW peak) and a 420-kWh battery system, the partners electrified a diesel coach which has been dubbed “TZ-S eCoach”.

According to Trailar, pilot tests proved that each vehicle could reduce its fuel usage by up to 1,040 litres and its CO2 emissions by up to 2.8 tonnes per year by drawing power from the solar panels.

Under the terms of the agreement, Protium will supply green hydrogen directly to local transport operators and depots that employ ULEMCo’s vehicles.
